The award ceremony of Edition 4 of City’ZEN Challenge took place on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Berger-Levrault headquarters in Boulogne-Billancourt.

Edition 4 of City’ZEN Challenge: Jump-smart your city and kick start your career!

The Berger-Levrault City’ZEN Challenge is a competition that gives students the opportunity to be the creators of tomorrow’s intelligent city and to improve the daily life of citizens.

This challenge is an inter-school project at the heart of Berger-Levrault’s international strategy. The 4 partner schools of this edition are ECE Paris, ESILV La Défense, EPITECH Barcelona, ETS Montreal. This initiative supports and rewards engineering students in the development of innovative solutions that improve the relationship between citizens and administrations, re-imagine the future of cities and thus respond to the major societal challenges of the 21st century.

The finalists defended their final project in front of a jury composed mainly of the Berger-Levrault Executive Committee. The students had 25 minutes to present their project, to broadcast their promotional video or to make a demonstration with a prototype.

An internship opportunity within the Berger-Levrault Group was offered to the 3 winning teams, as well as the financing of the 3 projects up to 15 000 €:

1st PRIZE: Connect

A digital platform that centralizes all the information of a city and analyzes it in real time. With this tool, local authorities have the ability to better define their needs, reduce their costs and increase efficiency within their various services.

2nd PRIZE: WeCare

An interactive platform that aims to bring together all the initiatives organized in favor of the homeless in a city, whether they are public, associative or citizen initiatives, and that also allows to geolocate people in need.

3rd PRIZE: InnovAbeille

A project committed to the fight against the disappearance of bees. The students want to make beekeeping accessible to all by providing turnkey connected hives for companies and communities.

A special mention for the members of the winning team aged 18 to 19 years old and 1st year students at EPITECH Barcelona!
